Although of advanced age, Mr. Edmondson was very active up to the last. He was born in California March 16, 1864. He was a farmer by occupation, also a man of keen foresight, and was always very much interested in the development of Southern Oregon, especially the district in which he lived. Mr. Edmondson was married to Miss Ida Cook, December 25, 1888 at Big Butte. She passed away May 24, 1908. Later he met and was united in marriage to Sarah Holm at Jacksonville, Ore., in 1910. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Mrs. Sarah Edmondson of Medford, four children, Augustus Edmondson, Robert Edmondson and William Edmondson and Mrs. Emogene Abbott of Butte Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Patton, of Medford; Mrs. Ora Gorden of Fort Klamath, and Mrs. Lottie Allen of Derby; two brothers, Charles and Ben of Butte Falls; two grandchildren, Miss Ione Edmondson and Miss Beth Abbott of Butte Falls. Funeral services will be held in the Presbyterian church at Butte Falls Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Smith of Butte Falls officiating. Interment in the Butte Falls cemetery.
