Her death was attributed to a cold she contracted at the funeral of her daughter, Mrs. Bernice Ethel Baker, at the Butte Falls cemetery February 16. The cold developed into pneumonia. Mrs. Edmondson was born in Brownsboro on June 17, 1874. She was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Obenchain, Jackson County pioneers. She was educated in Jackson County schools. Laura Obenchain was married to Charles A. Edmondson in December, 1883, at the Obenchain home in Brownsboro. She had resided since her marriage in Butte Falls. Survivors are her husband; two grandchildren, Dorothy and Donald Baker; two brothers, Charles Obenchain of Portland and Lorain Obenchain of Butte Falls, and five sisters: Mrs. William Chambers, Butte Falls; Mrs. Lou Phillips, St. Helens; Mrs. Effie Dunlap, Ashland; Mrs. Bertha Laporte, St. Helens; and Mrs. Francis Yore, Seattle, Wash. Funeral services will be held in the Perl Funeral chapel at 2 p. m. Saturday, Dr. Sherman L. Divine, pastor of the Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will be made in the Butte Falls cemetery.
