Edington will be saddened to learn of her passing at her home on Sam's Valley, December 4, 1928. Mrs. Edington was born in Missouri, January 8, 1860, where she spent the early part of her life. In 1879, Mr. and Mrs. Edington were united in marriage and to this union were born five children, three sons and two daughters, James A. Edington, who passed away in 1901, being survived today by her husband, William W. Edington, two sons, Thomas B. and John N. of Gold Hill, Ore., two daughters, Mrs. Retta Newton of Oakland, Cal., and Miss Mary E. Edington of Sam's Valley. The family have been residents of Oregon for the past 36 years and of Sam's Valley for the past 28 years, coming to Oregon from Washington in 1892. Mrs. Edington was a woman of fine character and leaves a host of friends besides her family to mourn her loss. The funeral arrangements are in charge of the Perl Funeral Home and will be announced at a later date. Mr. and Mrs. Edington lived just north of town before moving to Sam's Valley.
