W. Edington, seven miles north of Gold Hill in Sam's Valley, from infirmities due to old age. She was aged 84 years, 7 months and 7 days, was a native of Tennessee, born May 6th, 1836, and was the widow of James A. Edington who died in 1896. She had been a resident of Jackson county since 1892, and had made her home with her son for the past 24 years. She was a kind and lovable mother and leaves a host of friends to mourn her loss. Mrs. Edington leaves three daughters and one son, who are Mrs. Sarah J. Shields of California, Mrs. Allie Venable of Campough, Wash., Mrs. Nancy E. McMorris of Seattle, Wash., and W. W. Edington of Gold Hill, Ore. The funeral services will be held at the home Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Interment in Central Point cemetery.
