Eaton died at the home of his sister, Mrs. M. E. Abbott, 925 South Central avenue at 7:25 o'clock Saturday evening, at the age of 65 years. Mr. Eaton was born in Illinois in the year 1855, and in 1884 moved to Kansas City, Mo. He came west in 1911 and settled in Jackson County, where he had since resided. Mr. Eaton had previously suffered a stroke of paralysis, and was again stricken Saturday morning while in a local grocery store where he had stopped while on his way to Jacksonville. He leaves to mourn, two brothers and two sisters: T. S. Eaton of Medford, H. K. of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. M. E. Abbott of Medford and Miss J. M. Eaton of Kansas City, Kans. Funeral services will be held at the parlors of Weeks-Conger Co., at 2 p.m. Monday, with Rev. Sassnett officiating. Interment in Jacksonville cemetery.
