T. Dougherty, until recently owner of the Brookhurst orchard, passed away here Friday afternoon. Mr. Dougherty was born Nov. 25, 1880, in Juniata county, Pennsylvania. He grew up and received his education in Iowa and came to Medford some years ago from Boise, Ida., in which state he served as secretary of state, having been elected in 1917. His wife passed away in Medford in 1930. Surviving are two sons, Winston T. Dougherty, with the armed forces in England, and William E. Dougherty, a lieutenant on the staff and faculty of the field artillery school at Fort Sill, Okla. Funeral arrangements, in charge of Perl Funeral Home, await arrival of the son, Lt. William Dougherty.
