Mr. DeHaas came here from Cascade, Idaho. He was born at Redding, Pa., March 12, 1857. Besides his wife, Martha E., he leaves six children, Harry and Harvey DeHaas and Myrtle Cross of Cascade, Idaho; Hubert DeHaas, Jacksonville; William DeHaas and Verna E. Hood of Central Point, also one brother Abraham DeHaas of Goodnight, Okla. There are also 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Conger-Morris chapel at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Gilbert Cays of Central Point Christian church officiating. Interment in Central Point cemetery.
