W. A. Coverdale passed away at the Good Samaritan hospital at Grants Pass, 
late Sunday afternoon, October 9, 1927. Diabetes of long standing was the 
cause of death. Mr. Coverdale was 63 years of age, and has lived around Rogue 
River and Foots Creek for 35 or 40 years. He leaves his wife and five 
children, three daughters, Mrs. George Woodcock of Rogue River, Mrs. Gust 
Oleson of Grants Pass, Miss Zella Coverdale of Rogue River; his two sons, Ned 
and Elvert, both of Rogue River. The funeral services will be held Wednesday 
afternoon at 2:30 at Hall’s chapel, Grants Pass.

Buried at Rock Point IOOF Cemetery, Gold Hill, Jackson County, Oregon (has 
headstone).
