Clark, wife of John Clark, died at the family home April 4th, aged 62 years, 4 months and 2 days. She leaves a husband and three grown children besides other relatives, to mourn her loss. Mrs. Clark was a good, Christian woman and had a large circle of friends. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad bereavement. The remains were interred in the Central Point cemetery on Sunday afternoon. Rev. E. B. Lockhart conducted the ceremony. There was a large concourse of sorrowing friends in attendance at the last sad rite. Mrs. Clark was a well known resident of this county. The children are: Mrs. H. A. Miller, of San Francisco; Mrs. Angle Hale, of Roseburg and Mrs. R. A. Clark, of Sam's Valley. In 1882 the family the family came to Oregon from Michigan. Mrs. Clark was born in Schobarie county, New York in the year 1840. She had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for many years and a faithful Christian life ended when the summons came to enter upon the higher life. Lifelong friends of the deceased and her husband, and Mr. and Mrs. Corum, were untiring in their faithful attendance to the end.
