M., Medford (Oregon) Southern Oregonian, Saturday, 25 May 1907, p. 6: Mrs. Susan B. M. Chandler was born at Knoxville, Tennessee, April, 1852, and died at her home near Phoenix, May 18, 1907. Early in life with her parents she removed to Missouri, where on the first day of May, 1868, she was united in marriage to Sargent Turnbough. To this union were born three children, one son and two daughters. After a widowhood of ten years Mrs. Chandler was united to her present husband, Willis Chandler, in the state of Missouri, in 1885, with whom she shared the joys and comforts of life to the time of her death. Two sons were the result of her last marriage. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Chandler leaves numerous friends to mourn her loss. A husband has lost a devoted wife, her children a loving mother, the church a faithful worker and the community an example of morality and christian character. The funeral was conducted May 19th from the family residence by Rev. W. E. Goode, and the body was laid to rest in the Phoenix cemetery.
