Cameron, wife of Dr. Warren L. Cameron, after an illness covering several years. The maiden name of Mrs. Cameron was Katherine Caroline Vail and she was second cousin to Alfred Vail, inventor of the telephone. She was born in the Kickapoo valley of Wisconsin, August 27, 1876. After receiving her preliminary education in Wisconsin the deceased, then Miss Vail, moved to Chicago, where she trained as a nurse graduating from the West Side hospital in 1901. Following a few months’ nursing Miss Vail was married to Dr. Warren Cameron. They moved to Medford in 1902 where the family has lived since. One child, Lloyd V. Cameron was born in August 1902. He enlisted in the navy in April of this year and died of pneumonia in June. The funeral will be held at two o’clock Saturday from the Weeks & McGowan chapel with Rev. W. B. Hamlin officiating. Interment will be in Jacksonville cemetery.
