The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ ********************************************************************************* Transcribed and formatted for use in USGenWeb Archives by Elizabeth Corethers 17 Nov 2002 ********************************************************************************* BESS, Annie May (Clymer), Ashland Daily Tidings, Monday, 18 Apr 1932 - Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Bess, well-known local woman, whose death occurred at 3:38 o'clock last Saturday afternoon, took place at 3 o'clock this afternoon, services being held at the Dodge Chapel in charge of Rev. Lowther, and burial being made in Mountain View cemetery. Mrs. Bess's death occurred after an extensive illness. She had been seriously ill since December, her condition critical for several days previous to her death. Annie May Clymer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Clymer, was born in Bangor, Iowa, May 11, 1877 and spent her girlhood in that city. Thirty-six years ago, in October, she united in marriage with Frank Bess. In 1907 the family came west, locating in Dunsmuir where they resided until 1916 when they moved to Ashland where they have since made their home. During her long residence here, Mrs. Bess made many friends who are grieved by her passing. She was affiliated with the Methodist church. Surviving is her husband, Frank Bess, and the following named children: Mrs. Henry Homes of Riddle, Oregon; Mrs. Harry Hill of Whittier, California; Mrs. Ed Stanley of Dunsmuir and Mrs. Gerald Wenner of this city.
