S. Bennett of 937 North Central, passed away at 8:15 yesterday evening at their home following a long and severe illness caused by sarcoma. He was a member of the Medford lodge of B. P. O. Elks, also of the Neighbors of Woodcraft. He was a graduate of the Medford high school in the 1925 class and enjoyed a wide circle of friends by whom he will be greatly missed. Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Bennett of the Eden Valley Nursery, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Arthur Carlson of Oakland, Calif., who is expected here for the funeral services, Mrs. E. O. Steiger, Rogue River, Ore., and Miss Ethel Bennett of this city. Funeral services will be held at the Conger chapel at 2 p.m. Friday. Interment in Medford cemetery.
