Woody Takes Own Life Carl LeRoy Woody, 51, route 4, box 375-E, shot himself in the right temple with a .22 caliber rifle about 6 a.m. yesterday and died at 9 a.m., according to Deputy Coroner Carlos Morris. It was reported that Woody was despondent over ill health. Morris said Woody shot himself in the kitchen of the home near the Alley Lumber company mill after telling his wife he was going to build a fire. Surviving him in addition to his widow, Gladys, is a sister whose name was not immediately learned. The Woodys had resided here for about a year. Conger-Morris Funeral Parlor is in charge of funeral services, time of which will be announced later.
