Gregg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. W. Gregg, of North Holly, was married yesterday to Francis M. Hewitt of Roseburg. Shortly after the ceremony the unsuspecting couple were invited to the Valley garage where they were seized by relatives and friends, placed in a road cart and hauled up and down Main street while a trail of tin cans and loose fenders made a sort of Cupid's anvil chorus, much to the amusement of the passersby and the embarrassment of the newlyweds. Mr. Hewitt is a S. P. engineer with headquarters at Roseburg, while Miss Gregg is one of Medford's most attractive and accomplished daughters, having made her home here for the past six years. The couple left last night on a brief wedding trip in the northern part of the state.
