Winninghams Hold Annual Gathering at McKee Bridge

About 50 members of the Winningham family held the 13th annual reunion
Sept. 3, the reunion being in the form of a picnic at McKee bridge. The
Winninghams were among the early settlers of the Rogue River Valley and
many descendants have continued to live in southern Oregon. Due to the war,
many Winninghams were unable to make the trip because of traveling
conditions. In past years about 100 have attended the annual gatherings.

Present for the family gathering were Mr. and Mrs. David Winningham and
sons, Johnnie and Jerry, Klamath Falls; Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Whitney,
Jacksonville; Mr. and Mrs. Ed M. Russell, Medford; Aletha and Russell
Scholer, Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Loyd W. Whitney, Martha and Clinton,
Jacksonville; Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Lawrence and son, Jim, Jacksonville; Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Winningham, Phillip and Judy, Jacksonville; Mr. and Mrs. Lee
Winningham, Norman, Darrell, Warren and Nita, Bly; Mr. and Mrs. Francis
Russell, Joyce and Michael of Table Rock; Mr. and Mrs. James Gwin, Joan and
Keith, Jacksonville; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Winningham and Dorothy, Applegate;
Mrs. Stella Winningham and Roy, Applegate; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cunningham,
