Dinner was served at 3:00 o'clock with Mark Winningham offering thanks. He also read an appropriate poem. After dinner a business meeting was held for election of new officers. Mark Winningham retained the office of president. New officers installed were Bill I. Winningham, vice-president; Evelin Winningham, secretary-treasurer; Jim Winningham, entertainment committee, Ruth Whitney, publicity, and Mrs. Harry Whitney, economic committee. Mrs. Jim Winningham retired from office of secretary-treasurer after serving for 10 years. Open house was observed beginning at 7:00 o'clock, and an evening of dancing to Sturgill's orchestra was enjoyed by approximately 100 relatives and friends. At 12 o'clock a midnight lunch was served. Members of the family present included Mr. and Mrs. Mark Winningham of Forest creek; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Russell and grandchildren, Aletha and Russel Scholer, of Klamath Falls; Mrs. Percy Merrill and daughter Eugena, of Klamath Falls; Bob Dawson, of Trail creek; Bill I. Winningham of Grant's Pass; Clyde Davidson, of Grant's Pass; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Winningham and daughter Dorothy of Copper, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Winningham and children Byron, Mabel and Evelyn of Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Whitney and daughters Ruth and Violet; Mrs. Loyd Whitney and children Martha and Clinton; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gwin and children Joan and Keith; Mrs. Adela Gwin, Norman Surber and Ralph Reed, all of Jacksonville; and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Cunningham and children Bessie Jean and Virginia Lee of Applegate.
