JONES TO WED IN OCTOBER Mrs. Harold R. Adams, 420 South Grape street announces the engagement of her daughter, Mary Janith, to Charles E. Jones, son of Mrs. Floyd E. Lewis, 114 Genesee street. Both Miss Adams and Mr. Lewis are graduates of Medford high school, the latter with the class of 1945 and Miss Adams in the class of 1948. Miss Adams attended Southern Oregon college last year and is now with the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph company. Her fianc‚ attended Oregon State college after his military service and later transferred to Southern Oregon college where he will be a senior this year. He is with the American Fruitgrowers at the present. The wedding is planned for late October. MISS HELEN KINDLE, ROBERT T. JOHNSON TO WED IN OCTOBER Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Kindle, 115 Almond street, Medford, have announced the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Helen Jean Kindle, Eugene, to Robert T. Johnson. Mr. Johnson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Johnson, Edgewater Park, N. J. The wedding will be October 21. Miss Kindle, who has lived in Eugene for the past several years, is a former member of Spinsters' club there and attended Oregon State college after her graduation from Medford high school. She is now with the Zellerbach Paper company in Eugene. Mr. Johnson is [a] civil aeronautics administration agent in Eugene. MISS JOAN COLEMAN HONORED AT SHOWER; WEDDING THIS MONTH Miss Joan Coleman, whose wedding to Neil Arant is set for September 17, was honored at a shower given Tuesday night by Mrs. E. Ronald Rice and her daughter, Miss Jeanne Rice, at their home on Vancouver, Garden flowers decorated the Rice home for the party. Games were played with Mrs. Arthur Hess and Miss Jackie Schmidt winning prizes, and the guest of honor was given a shower of gifts for the kitchen of her new home. Refreshments were served. Twenty-four guests were invited to the shower. Miss Coleman is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Coleman, 1115 East Eleventh street.
