RICHARD WATSON TO NAVY SCHOOL

Ensign Richard E. Watson, of 322 South Riverside avenue, left this
morning for the Naval Training School at Cornell University, Ithaca, New
York. He was granted his commission in the United States Naval Reserve
on June 1, and was called to active duty on July 1.

Watson, a graduate of University of Oregon in 1939, has been the manager
of the J. Henry Helser Co. in Medford for the past year. His wife and
small daughter will remain here for the present, and Mrs. Watson will be
in charge of the Helser company's Medford office during his absence.
