He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd McKee, 115 North Peach street. ON FURLOUGH - Pvt. Charles E. Warner has arrived home on furlough to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred. Warner of Trail. Pvt. Warner has been transferred to Salt Lake City, Utah, from Gardner Field, Taft, Cal., where he served 23 months with the medical department. HOME ON LEAVE - Dean and Dale Pruett, seamen second class, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Pruett, Route 2, are home on leave after finishing their training at the naval training at the naval training station at Camp Farragut, Idaho. Upon returning to Farragut they will go to a school for aerial gunnery and radio instruction. WIGGINS HOME - Melvin Wiggins is in Medford to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Wiggins, 219 McAndrews road, after completing his recruit training at the naval training station at Farragut Idaho, He returns to Farragut May 10 and upon arrival will be reassigned for further training. SMITH LEAVES - Donald Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith, 103 Jeanette St., left Friday night for the marine base at San Diego, where he will be trained in the communications school. Smith, a graduate of Medford senior high school at midterm, recently completed his marine recruit training at San Diego. IN V-12 UNIT - Donald George Shanahan, son of Mrs. N. Shanahan of 1208 E. 11th St., is in training with a navy V-12 unit at Park college, Parkville, Mo., according to an announcement from the 13th naval district. Shanahan graduated from Medford high school and the University of Oregon before he was employed at the Eugene radio station as an announcer. His school activities included membership in Theta Chi fraternity, broad jumper for the University of Oregon's track team, dramatics and class student body president of high school.
