E. Conner of 430 Holly street have received word from Washington, D. C., that their young son, Quanah Denton Conner, motor machinist's mate 2/c, was killed in action. No details were given the parents in the message as to where or when. Young Conner had not lived in Ashland very long, but had attended school in Talent, where the family resided at the time of his enlistment. He had been in service since a year ago the 24th of last June.
