Flying Iron Broke His Skull
Logger In Camp Near Knappa Dies In Short Time
Astoria,or.Oct.29.-(Special)- Edward Hoover was fatally injured while at work 
in the Kelly logging camp at Knappa yesterday afternoon. As a large log was 
being hauled bya  donkey engine an iron hook flew out and struck Hoover in the 
back of the head fracturing his skull and lacerating his braiin.He was brought 
here about midnight for attendance, but died at an early hour this morning 
without regaining consciousness.
Hoover was a single man about 30 years of age and recently came here from 
Virginia.
