Boy Drowned In Necanicum
Howard Day and His Brother Fell Off Log While Fishing
Seaside,Or.,Sept.3-(Special)- Howard Day,son of W.P.Day,of Seaside,was drowned 
this morning in the Necanicum. Howard and his brother were fishing on a log 
ner the logging camp of the Seaside Spruce Lumber Company,two mile above 
Seaside,when both fell off the log.The younger brother succeeded in saving 
himself.Mr.McCullough wen tin after the boy and got him out and did all he 
coudl to restore life,but it was too late.Mrs.Day,the boy's mother,is a 
duagher of the late Silas B.Smith,of Clatsop.
