Howard and his brother were fishing on a log ner the logging camp of the Seaside Spruce Lumber Company,two mile above Seaside,when both fell off the log.The younger brother succeeded in saving himself.Mr.McCullough wen tin after the boy and got him out and did all he coudl to restore life,but it was too late.Mrs.Day,the boy's mother,is a duagher of the late Silas B.Smith,of Clatsop.
