Clackamas County news June 16,1921
Guy Amsberry Married to Young Woman of Vale
(from the malheur Enterprise,Vale)
The following will be of interest to many Canby people,in as much as the groom 
was a resident of this city,for some six months in 1920 while employed as 
foreman of the Clackamas County News,and his friends here will extend 
congratulations and best wishes:
Guy M Amsberry and Miss Ines Palmer "put one over" on their friends last 
Saturday morning by quietly getting married early in the day and then going 
about their work and keeping quiet.But the news "leaked" and before night they 
were showered with congratulations and best wishes.They stoutly denied any 
justification for their kindness for several days but finally "fessed" up to 
the truth.
The wedding occurred at the residence of mr and Mrs A.E McGillivray at 5 
o'clock Saturday morning with Rev.J.A Melton officiating.mr and Mrs J.A Melton 
and Miss bessie Poust were hte only guests present.The party was given a 
wedding breakfast by the McGillivrays,who left immediately afterwards to spend 
several weeks in Carvallis and the Willamette Valley and in their absence mr 
and Mrs Amsberry will occupy their home.
