All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com October 1, 2006, 3:12 pm Canby herald and Clackamas County News July 6,1922 Miss Clara Olson Weds Portland Man Will spend honeymoon at Seaside and make Portland Future Place of residence One of the notable events of the week was the marriage of Miss Clara Olson of Canby .and Harry John Stewart of Portland,which was performed at the home of the brides parents,Mr ans Mrs Siver Olson,on Thursday,June 29th at 12 o'clock ,noon The ceremony was performed beneath a bower of pale pink sweet peas and ferns.Before the service Miss Helen Stewart,sister of the groom,sang "O Promis me" and "At Dawning".Rev.Overt Skilbred,of the Lutheran church of this city officiated,the ring ceremony being used. After the ceremony a delicious dinner of four courses was served to the invited guests,which were only immediate members of the family. After the dinner was served the mr and mrs Stewart left for a two week honeymoon trip to Seaside.Upon their return to Portland they will make their new residence on Alameda Drive. Mrs Stewart is the eldest daughter of Mr and mrs Siver Olson of this city,and is well and favorably known in this community,having formerly resided with her parents at Parkland,Wash.Mr Stewart is associated with his father in the West Coast Insurance Co.,of Portland,and is well known there and is a young man od sterling character and business ability.
