Macksberg Man Is Made Defendat
Suit for divorce was filed in Oregon City Friday by Alm Scramlin of 
Macksberg,against her husband,R.C.Scramlin,asking $250 temporary alimony,$1500 
attorney's fees and costs,and the right to resume her maiden name,Alma Harms.
Since the complaint was filed Mr.Scramlin was ordered by the court to pay his 
wife $600 suit money and attorneys fees,$150 of which is to be deposited 
within ten days and the balance,$450 to be turned over at the time of the 
trial.He was also ordered to pay the further sum of $50 month a month as 
temporary alimony pending the outcome of the suit and the firt payment to to 
be made September 26.
Mr.Scramlin was ordered to appear in court at Oregon City yesterday and show 
cause why he should not pay financial claims presented by his wife when she 
filed her complaint last FRiday.
The wife asked that her husband be ordered to pay her temporaary alimony in 
the sum of $250,$5000 permanent alimony,and $150 attorney's fees and court 
costs.She based her preceeding on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment 
and stated also that her husband had struck and cursed and threatened her 
life.All these allegations will be denied,it is claimed,by the defendant.
