It doesn't give the date he died, but it was August 21, 1933. Nelson J. Willard Dies Monday At Family Home Nelson Joshua Willard, city councilman of Molalla, died Monday morning after a long illness. He was born in St. Lawrence county, N.Y., January 22, 1864, and moved to Wisconsin in 1868. He was married in Sparta, Wis., on Christmas day in 1884 to Alice Howard, who bore him six children. In 1889, the family moved to Oregon, settling in Salem. Moving to Biggs in Sherman county in 1911. Twelve years ago the family located at Molalla. Besides the widow, four children survive: Ira and Charles N. Willard of Molalla, Herbert H. Willard of Biggs and Mrs. M.H. Miller of Molalla. There are nine grandchildren and one brother, A.R. Willard of Molalla. Mr. Willard joined the A. F. & A. M lodge in Salem 30 years ago and transferred to the Wasco lodge in 1912. He was elected for a four-year term as city councilman at Molalla in 1930. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the Everhart Funeral Home at Molalla, Rev. U.S. Crowder of Salem officiating. Interment was in the Cityview cemetery in Salem. **********************************************
