Mr.Veteto was sixty one years of age, apparently in good health, and no cause can be assigned for his rash act.When he arose the morning of the tragedy,Veteo went to the barn to do the work as was his usual practice,and Mrs.Veteto prepared breakfast never having a suspicion that anything was wron.When he failed to appear at the call for breakast,their son went to hte barn to investigate the cause and found his father hanging by a rope in the hay loft. Before leaving the house,Veteo left his keys,watch and other personal items in a dresser drawer.A note was also found saying "Find me in the barn".Mrs.Veteo informed Coroner R.H.Holman,who was called, that her husband had beenin good health.He had been a carpenter besides farming. He was born January 18,1859 and was amember of the Odd Fellows and Masonic Lodges of Oregon City.Surviving are the wife,Verna Veteto;daughter,Mary;;son,Ceicel and two hitchman.
