Mr.Tuft came to Oregon in 1909 and opened a jewelry store here where he remained in business for some time.He sold out later,returning tohis former home in the est,but came back to Canby about six years ago and has since been in retired life.He is survived by his widow and four grown children;Chris of Canby,now in North Dakota,Harry of Los Angeles,Cal.,Eunice of Holly,and ingebrit of Canada,and two nephews,Clarence and Ted Eid of Canby. The funeral will be held in the Lutheran church this afternoon. Mr.Tuft was an estimable citizen and had many friends ib this community.His son,Chris,who has been in the east for several weeks in company with his wife,is expected home today.
