Funeral Services are Held For Joe Thomas
Funeral services for the late Joseph Thomas,who died at the sellwood 
hospital,Wednesday afternoon,March 28,from injuries sustained at the Slyter 
camp near Molalla,on March 26,were held from the methodist church of 
Canby,last Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock,Rev W Boyd Moore,preaching the 
funeral services,with internment in the Zion cemetary near Canby.The local 
Oddfellows lodge had charge of the services at the cemetary.S.A Miller,of 
Aurora,had charge of the funeral arrangements.
Jospeh Thomas was born near Canby on August 13,1887,and at the time of his 
death was 35 years,seven months and 15 days old.For the past seven years he 
has made his home with his family at Walla Walla,Wash.,returning to Canby 
about four weeks ago where he intended to make his home ,while employed near 
Molalla,and had been employed there only a few days when the fatal accident 
occurred.
he leaves to mourn his loss,his wife,Mrs helen Thomas,and the following 
children:Evelyn,Verl,Clifford,Lyvonne,and dariel.
He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs Elmer Zeek,of 
Portland,Mrs Fred jacobs,of Portland;Roy Thomas,of Powers,Ore.;Mrs L.G Riggs 
and Chas Thomas of Canby
