Young Suenson,accompanied by Gordon McKercher,alos of Portland,went to the park Tueday expecting to spend a few days .Last evening they took a boat and started to row up the river.Suenson attempted to row up the river.Suenson attempted to swim part of the way back.McKercher was runnning the boat ahead of the swimmer probably 25 yards when he heard him call for help.As he turned around he saw the youn gman throw up his hands and go down.He turned his boat and went back to the spot where the boy was seen at the surface of the water,but was unable to reach him.He was in about ten feet of water.help was called and other members of the camping party assisted in recovering the body File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/or/clackamas/obits/s/suenson2937gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/orfiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
