Sollie,a resident for 43 years, passed away at his home east of town Saturday, April 19. He was born in Norway, April 14,1846, and was 84 years of age. Mr. Sollie is survived by one son, J.Sollie of Canby, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Hvidding of Canby and mrs Anna Cook of Sherarsbridge; one brother, J.C. Paulson, of San Gabriel,Cal; two sisters, Mrs.L.E.Jackson of Portland and Mrs. Mary Owen of Molalla, Ore. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 23, at 2 p.m., from the Lutheran church at Canby. Internment at Zoar cemetary. Mr. Sollie was 25 years old the day he landed in this country, and for a number of years before coming to oregon he resided in Wisconsin.He was one of the four who organized the United Lutheran church society in Canby, and the first service of the society was held in his home in the New Era community.
