Man Starves to death
Salem-Starvation and exhaustion are given as the cause of death of George 
Smith,65 years old,whose body was found in a barn at West Stayton.Smith and a 
friend,J.Hasseman,walked from Mount Angel to West Stayton,the latter spending 
the night in an old cabin and Smith going into the barn.Coroner Clough,of 
Salem,was notified and Dr C.H Brewer made an investigation.Hasseman said that 
his friend had complained of being weak for some time and that he had eaten 
little
