Mrs Scramling fell and fractured her lower limb last summer and had almost fully recivered from this accident.After the death of her son,Mrs Scramling went to Willamette to live with her brother,"Doc" Porter.She was taken sick last Friday and removed to Oregon City where she died four days later. She had been a widow for more than twenty years,and resided on the old homestead at Macksberg with her son up to the time of his death last fall. Mrs Scramling was born in Michigan,1843,and came West with her husband in the year 1877,by horse team,and settled at Macksberg,where she had made her home continuously until a few months ago.Her brother,and a grand son,R.C Scramling,are the only surviving relatives in this part of the country. Mrs Scramling's estate consists of a farm of about two hundred acres in the Macksberg district,the old home place.
