Aorora Borealis May 21,1908
Aorora Pioneer Dies
John Schwader,aged 81 years,and an Oregon pioneer,died at hi home two miles 
east of Aurora Saturday Morning.
Mr Schwader was born in Wurtenburg,Germany,January 26,1827, and came to 
America in 1832,locatin at Pittsburgh,Alleghany county,Pennsylvania.He came to 
Oregon with the Aurora Colony in 1855 and lived her until his death.His age 
was 81 years,8 months and 20 days.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon,and internment was in Aurora 
cemetary .Col J.G Miller conducted the funeral services.
Deceased was a man of good qualities,and was loved and respected by all who 
knew him.He leaves three brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss
