All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/or/orfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sheron Faynor nitwittwin@hotmail.com August 11, 2006, 8:53 pm Aurora Borealis October 8,1908 Death of Mrs Schurer The funeral of the late Mrs Mary Osborne Shurer,wife of W.R Schurer of Butteville,Oregon., was held Monday at Congregational church at that place and internment was in the Butteville cemetary at 3:30 pm,conducted by a Congregational minister of Woodburn,and was one of the largest funerals ever held at that place.Miss Mary Osborne was born in England ,August 5,fifty years ago and died here ,October 4,where she resided for the past ten years.She leaves a husband,two stepsons,one brother residing in Michigan and D.M Osborne of England,who is one of the worlds most famous hop buyers.Mrs Schurer was a neighbor and friend to all alike,both the rich and the poor.She was a great church worker,having sang in the choir and taight in the Sunday school ever since she came among us,and was much loved and respected by all who knew her,both as a church worker and as a business factor in the hop and produce market with her husband who is Butteville's commission and warehouse man,and a son of the late and much honored patriotic Pioneers,Mr and Mrs John Schurer.Mr Schurer has one brother,Joe Schurer of Butteville and three sisters.Mrs Carrie Everding,Mrs Sophie Langford and Mrs Louise Giltner,all residents in Portland File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/or/clackamas/obits/s/schurer2117gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/orfiles/ File size: 1.9 Kb
