Mrs Rose Schmitt Passes
Mrs Rose Schmitt,wife of Ernest Schmitt,was laid to rest in the Riverside 
cemetary at Portland last Saturday.The funeral services were held at J.P. 
Finley & Sons chapel,in Portland.
Mrs Schmitt was well known iin this community and has many friends who will be 
saddened by her passing.For several years her husband was the sales manager 
for the Cooperation cheese factory in Canby.Thus he and his wife had a large 
circle of acquantainces and friends.They had been living in 
Gladstone,Oregon,just previuos to Mrs Schmitts death which was caused by 
appendicitis.
She leaves behind in her family,her husband,Mr Ernest Schmitt,her daughter,Mrs 
Ray Brandes,and her sons,Ernest Schmitt jr and Otto Schmitt.
Mr and Mrs H Arthur W. Garham and their niece,Miss Pendleton,longtime friends 
of mr and Mrs Schmitt and family,attended the funeral services.Mr Graham was 
one of the pall bearers
