Ella May Cox,daughter of Mr and Mrs John Cox,was born in Pleasant Plain,Iowa,in 1869,where she spent most of her childhood.She was married to Mr Frakes and to them 6 children were born,four boys and two girls.In 1903 she was married to J.C.Rhodes,and in 1917 they came to Canby,where she lived until her death. About a week ago Mrs Rhodes decided to take a trip to Seattle and while there she became very ill.She was brought to her home in Canby immediately and in a few hours after the stroke she quietly passed away. She She leaves to mourn her loss ,the husband,John Rhodes of Canby;four sons,Earl Frakes of the Dalles.Glen Frakes of Canby;James and Leonard Frakes of Washington,and two daughter,Mrs Sadie Tafs of California,and Mrs Blanche Northway of Bonneville,Oreogn,and a host of Canby friends.
