Pioneer Steamboat Man Dies
William E Pratt died at the family home Saturday afternoon,June 18,after an 
illness of a year.he was a pioneer steamboat man,and for many years was 
connected with the P.T. Co., and O.R&N. having followed this business for 45 
years.he was familiarily known as "Billy",and will be greatly missed by his 
many friends.Besides his wife whom he married in Oregon City in 1877,Mr Pratt 
is survived by his three daughters,Miss Cis Barclay Pratt,Miss Dolly Pratt,Mrs 
J.N. Wisner,and a son,Forbes Pratt
