Former Canby Woman Buried at Springfield
Mrs. Elizabeth Prather, wife of B.S.Prather, and a former resident of 
Clackamas County, died at the family home in Springfield, Tuesday, February 
18, according to a letter received Sunday from Geo. Dozier.
Mrs. Prather was seventy four years of age. She is survived by her widower, 
one sone, K.B.Prather of Springfield, two daughters, Mrs. TJ. Robinson of 
Eugene, and Mrs. geo Dozier of Springfield, and six grandchildren: Max 
Robinson of Eugene, Mrs. Dudley Boyd of Eugene, Mrs. James Bogan of Portland 
and Ruth, Dorris and Dorothy Dozier of Springfield.
Mrs. Prather was a devout christian. She was born at Titusville,Pa., September 
22,1855. For a number of years Mr and Mrs. Prather lived on their farm south 
of Canby where Mr. Prather was successful in the production of melon and other 
garden product. they moved to Springfield about three months ago.
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Veatch Chapel, Dr. Roy Leslie Smith 
officiating. Internment was at Laurel Hill cemetary
