Oldfield are held The funeral services for George Oldfield,who died at the home of his son,Carl Oldfield,near Meridian,on Tuesday morning January 9th,were held from the home last Thursday afternoon,Rev W.Boyd Moore,Officiating.Internment will be in Fairfax,Mo., where the deceased lived for many years.The body was accompanied to Missouri by his son,Carl Oldfield. George Oldfield was born inEngland in 1839 and at the time of his death was 83 years,2 months and 2 days of age.At the age of seven he immigrated with his parents to the United States ,settling near Chicago,where he lived until the age of 30.In 1866 he was united in marriage to Miss Julia Kendall of New York,to which union four children were born,two of whom died in infancy.In 1871 he moved to Fairfax,Mo.,being one o fthe pioneers of that section.In January 1900,death claimed his wife,since that time he has divided his time between his two remaining children,Carl C Oldfield-with whom he was living at the time of his death and Mrs M.U.
