Clackamas Conuty news August 11,1921
Father of local resident is dead at Salem
Fred A Meeske.67,son of the late Christian Meeske,died at his home ,four miles 
east of Salem,last wednesday August 3rd.he is survived by his widow and five 
children.The children are William meeske of Minnesota,Mrs Amelia Uppendahl of 
Aurora,and Lois,Emil,and Lillie Meeske of Salem.
Mr Meeske was born in Germany,in 1854,and at the age of seven years came to 
America with his parents.he lived a number of years iin South Dakota and in 
1917 came to Oregon and settled near Salem
