Pioneer Citizen Passes Beyond
The funeral services of W.H Manderville was held at the methodist church April 
13,Rev W.Boyd Moore,his pastor,and rev H.T.Atkinson,an old time friend and 
former pastor,conducted the services in the church he was a member for 39 years
He was born in Rockford,Ill.,Spet.23,1844,and died at his home near 
Canby,Oregon.he was married to Miss Maria green at beloit,Minn.,April 
4,1869.they came to oregon in 1888 and to Canby in 1892,and settled on the 
farm where he passed away.He was seventy years old at the time of his death 
and is survived by his devoted wife and son Ralph.More than half his life was 
devoted to Christian service;as an official of his church and superintendant 
of the Sunday school
No one in the ranks of the laymen was held in higher esteem as a neighbor and 
christian gentleman
