J.J.Mallet,pioneer resident of Mulino for the past forty five years  passed 
away at his home early Monday morning after an illness of two weeks.he was 
seventy seven years of age and was a veteran of the Civil War having enlisted 
at the age of thirteen.he was a member of the Mulino Grange and of the G.A.R 
of Oregon City
