After residing in different parts og the middle states in 1877 sh, in compnay with her parents, crosssed the plains to Oregon, settling in the Grande Ronde Valley near La Grande where she resided until she became the wife of John B. Lent on Novmber 27,1880, with him making her home in the Wallowa Valleyu near Lestine until 1904, when on account of her health they moved to Idaho, living near Middleton where they made theri hom until 1910. To this union was born seven children: louis,Joe and Fred of Canby,Oregon:Rose of Parma,Idaho and Ralph of Rockaway,Oregon. Bessie and Evan, the two youngest having preceded her on the last journey while the family resided in Idaho. Besides her immediate family, she is survived by two brothers,J.A. of Jefferson,Oregon, and H.W. Harris of Conrad, Montana, and sixteen grandchildren. Her husband, John P. Lent, pssed away at their home in Canby, January 19,1926. After an illness of nearly 20 years she answered the Masters call at her home June 28th 1930. She has been an actove member of the Methodist church since early childhood. The church aswell as her ho me folk will miss her. The funeral was held in the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Downs and Rev. Moore conducting the services. Internment was made in Zion cemetary.
