She was taekn to the hospital in Oregon City immediately following her great misfortune, but her condition was criticall and there was little hope entertained for her recovery. Mrs. Klohe had driven her car for a number of years, and was considered by persons familair with her habits to be very careful. She was driving south on Molalla street when the accident occurred, and on account of the dense fog was unabl eto see the approaching train. There is no signal of any kind at this crossing,or at any crossing in Canby, where several accident shave occurred within the past few years, and mrs.Klohe evidently thought the highway was open before undertaking to drive over the crossingnmaienot f n and turned over in a ditch on the west side of the street.Mrs.Klohe was taken to White's garage, where first aid was given, and then removed to the hospital in an ambulance. The car,in which the unfortunate woman was riding alone, was completely wrecked. The grade crossing at Molalla Avenue is a dangerous place, especially in winter months, when fog and rain often hinders observation, and it is felt by many citizens that a signal should be placed at that crossing and also at a crossing on Weed Street, Where Mrs. Geo. Bates met death some little time ago. LATER- It was lerned late last evening that Mrs.Klohe died at the hospital a few minutes after nine o'clock.
