Fred keiling Killed In Runaway Accident Sunday
Fred Keiling,of near Macksberg,died at the Oregon City Hospital at one o'clock 
Monday morning,as the resultof injuries received on Sunday evening ina  run 
away.
it was while Mr and Mrs Keling and little baby were returning home about six 
o'clock  Sunday evening,after spending the day at the home of James 
Lamour,that the fatal accident happened.On making the turn near the Macksberg 
store,an automobile passed them,and the horse ,which is an old race 
horse,attempted to take over the car,resulting in the buggy being over turned 
on the curve throwing Mrs Keiling  and their eight months old baby out of the 
buggy,Mr Keiling hanging onto the lines until one of them broke,which cause 
dthe horse to run in a circle,stepping on Mr Keilings head and also his 
chest,fracturing his skull in two places.the injure dman was rushe dto the 
Oregon City Hospital where he died the next morning.
Mrs Keiling,beyond being shaken up,was not injured,while the baby received 
severe bruises when thrown out of the rig,but his injuries are not serious.
Funeral services for Mr Keiling were held on Wednesday morning at the home of 
his father,rev.Troyer officiating.
Mr keiling is survived by his wife and little baby,his father and other 
reelatives.He wa sabout thrity years of age
