Funeral Services held For Mrs Martin Johnson
Funeral services for mrs Petra Johnson,wife of Martin Johnson,who died at 
Salem last Wednesday,March 14,after an illness of several years,were held from 
the home and the Methodist church of this city last Saturday afternoon,with 
rev Overt Skilbred conducting the services.Internment was in Barlow 
cemetary.S.A Miller ,of Aurora ,had charge of the funeral arrangments.
Mrs Petra Johnson was bornm in Iowa,Dec.23,1882,daughte rof Ole and Karine 
Bolland.She was married to Martin Johnson on June 2,1903.This union was 
blessed with eight children,seven of whom survive.They came to oregon in 1905 
and have resided here since.
Besides her husband,Mrs Johnson is survived by the following 
children,Henry,Leonard,Clara,Inez,Helen,Melvin,and Ada.She is also survived by 
her parents,mr and Mrs Ole Bolland,of barlow,and the following  brothers and 
sisters: Mrs Julia Erickson,of Onalask,Wash.,Mrs Willie Christianson,of 
Seattle,Wash.,Mrs mary Rolley,of Grandview,Wash.,and Mrs Isabela Nelson and 
daughter,of Great falls,Montana.
"They that sow in tears,shall reap in joy.He that goeth forth and weepeth 
beneath precious seed,shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,bringing his 
sheaves with him."
