Pioneer resident Dies Suddenly In The East
Monitor,Ore.,August 10-(special)-While visiting at the place of his birth in 
Iowa,P.B Hastie,a pioneer resident of this community,contracted pneumonia from 
which he died on Thursday of last week,according to information received here 
yesterday.
When mr hastie left Monitor recently in company with his wife and son,Will,he 
was apparently in perfect health.Little did his friends here think,when they 
said good bye at the station,that it would be the last time they saw him 
alive;nor did he think that he would never reeturn to enjoy the comfotable 
home he had prepared during the many years of his residence of Monitor
