Clackamas County News March 24,1921
Canby Loses another Pioneer resident
John Hart,one of the oldest pioneer settlers of the Canby locality,passed waay 
on the old homestead place,about one mile east of Canby,near Goodes bridge on 
Tuesday,following an illness of long duration.the ceseased was born in Ohio 
and was 78 years of age.Surviving are the widow and daughter ,Mrs George 
Mitts,and a brother,Albert Hart of Seaside.The funeral was held from the old 
homeplace this Thursday morning at 10:30 and internment made in the Zion 
cemetary under the direction of Holman and Pace,undertakers,of oregon City
